North Coast Community Homes’ (NCCH) Residential Services Program fills a crucial gap in the housing and community connection needs of individuals with disabilities. Being part of the community and living as independently as possible are among the most important values and goals shared by people with disabilities, their families, and their advocates. A home of one's own – either rented or owned – is the cornerstone of independence for people with disabilities.
The Residential Services Program (RSP) staff members function as a conduit for community connection and focus on the NCCH home environments as a platform for individuals to live their best lives. The RSP team listens to and identifies the needs of individuals and takes steps to navigate resources and services to help fulfill those needs. This team is the primary channel to improve communication between the direct care providers and NCCH. It is responsible for proactive communication with staff to meet each resident’s unique needs.
