In 2015, North Coast Community Homes developed its first home specifically for people with Multiple Sclerosis. Taking our knowledge of and expertise in accessibility, the home was modified to make it fully wheelchair accessible and promote independence for the three ladies that would call the house “home.”
Since that time, we’ve continued to explore and seize opportunities to support people of all abilities. Some is through our homes, which are clearly the main focus of our mission. But some is also through our advocacy in everything from our social media posts to our community outreach and education and our work in accessibility remodeling.
As we look to grow in this area, we’ll continue to seek input and support from the broader Ohio community and individuals who hold those living with various disabilities as near and dear to their heart.
We also understand that growth requires the support of people willing to open their hearts and give of their time, talents, and resources to help make our world and Ohio a better place for people of all abilities!
